Preserve Fertility was founded in 2016 when the founder Anne, a fertility nurse, received phone calls from two different young women on the same day. Both women had just been diagnosed with cancer and wanted to have children in the future, but were not able to freeze their eggs before cancer treatment based solely on the cost.
As a mother and health care professional, Anne felt shattered and knew she had to do something to relieve the financial burden for cancer patients to preserve their fertility.
Anne assembled a team of passionate volunteers and donors - health care professionals, family and friends - to create Preserve Fertility and ensure that that no other cancer patients would need to surrender their dreams of someday starting a family.
Since its inception, Preserve Fertility has helped dozens of cancer patients navigate the process of fertility preservation through education, support and grants.
