Preserve Fertility was founded in 2016 when fertility nurse Anne Wendel received phone calls from two different young women on the same day who had both just been diagnosed with cancer. They wanted to have children in the future, but were not able to freeze their eggs solely based on cost.
As a mother and health care professional, Anne felt shattered and knew she had to do something to relieve the financial burden and provide emotional support for cancer patients who wished to preserve their fertility.
Anne assembled a team of passionate volunteers and donors - health care professionals, caring corporations, family and friends - to create Preserve Fertility and ensure that no other cancer patients would need to surrender their dreams of someday starting a family.
Since its inception, Preserve Fertility has helped dozens of cancer patients navigate and afford the process of fertility preservation.
